Smart Woman Securities (SWS) seeks to provide undergraduate women with the skills necessary to make investment decisions through market education, exposure to industry professionals, and real-world financial experience, in an attempt to bridge the gender gap prevalent in the investment industry.

Members Benefits

Required student programs to be provided by the SWS chapter include: Semester-long Investment Education Program taught by the Director(s) of Investment Education — a cumulative curriculum designed to give students a foundation of investing knowledge The formulation of a final capstone project (a stock pitch) to apply skills learned through the Investment Education Program. Opportunity to manage a real money investment portfolio through the recommendations of the Investment Team and final decisioning by the CEO(s) and CIO(s). In addition to the Investment Education Program and Investment Team, SWS is also encouraged to provide supplementary educational seminars and events throughout the year. The goal of SWS is not only to educate its members, but also build a community where women can learn and feel comfortable with managing their finances.
