Academic Team Officer Candidates

Hyunsoo Lee

Hyunsoo's Platform

Hey Harvard, I’m Hyunsoo Lee — a five-foot-five Asian with round glasses, an unhealthy relationship with Lamont, and a dream: to be your next HUA Academic Team Officer.

I’m not just running for this role — I’m crawling out of midterm mayhem, p-set despair, and Canvas-induced existential dread. I am, proudly, an academic victim. And I know I’m not alone.

Mohib Ahmed

Mohib's Platform

As a student from a low-income, immigrant family, I know all too well that education is a privilege, especially one at Harvard. That’s why I’m deeply committed to ensuring that this experience remains strong and, most importantly, improves. I’m incredibly grateful to be here, and I want to give back by helping shape a Harvard that’s more united, more transformative, and more enriching for every student.

Kelli Higgins

Extracurricular Team Officer Candidate

Joshua Schultzer

Joshua's Platform

Hello! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Joshua Schultzer. As someone whose intrinsic motivation, social life, and life trajectory have all been immeasurably improved by extracurriculars, I know how impactful extracurriculars are on student life at Harvard.

Inclusion Team Officer Candidate

Coby Hayes

Coby's Platform

Hello everyone! My name is Coby, and I’m a rising sophomore studying Psychology and Government. Originally from Marion, Arkansas, my transition to Harvard has reinforced the deep importance of inclusion on campus. While I’ve loved my time here, I know there’s always more we can do to improve the student experience for everyone.

As your Inclusion Team Officer, I plan to collaborate with the Well-being Team to ensure every student feels welcomed, supported, and valued. This means expanding mental health resources, addressing accessibility concerns, and strengthening support for affinity spaces so that all students—no matter their background—feel like they belong.

Residential Life Team Officer Candidates

Elizabeth Aguil Tong Mou

Elizabeth's Platform

Hello Harvard College! I’m Elizabeth Mou (a former child rights activist with Save the Children) and I’m running to be your next Residential Life Officer because I believe nothing should be decided for students without students. Our residential spaces shape our daily lives, friendships, and sense of belonging, and it’s essential that student voices drive the policies that impact them.

My goal is to ensure that all students—whether in dorms or Houses—have a say in the decisions that shape their living experience. I will work closely with you to identify areas for improvement, advocate for meaningful change, and foster stronger communication with administrators. While we may not always get exactly what we ask for, together, we can create a residential experience that feels welcoming, supportive, and truly reflective of student needs. Let’s make our living spaces the best they can be. I’d be honored to have your support. Thank you!

Isabelle Agarwal

Isabelle's Platform

Hello! My name is Isabelle Agarwal, and I am a first-year student living in Pennypacker Hall. I hope to double concentrate in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology and Environmental Science and Public Policy. In my free time, I compete as part of the Harvard College Debating Union, research in the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, volunteer with Experimentors, dance for the Asian American Dance Team, and more.

The main goals of my platform as Residential Life Team Officer are: increasing safety for off-campus dorms, standardizing HUDS meals between houses, and improving fly-by. I believe that the lack of lighting and security on the way to the quad and “freshman quad,” discrepancies in food between houses, long lines for fly-by, and restricted fly-by hours greatly diminish the Harvard experience. I hope to advocate for these changes by working alongside the rest of the Residential Life Team.

Social Life Team Officer Candidates

Genesis Gonzalez

Genesis' Platform

Hi everyone! I’m Genesis Gonzalez, and I’m excited to run for HUA Social Life
Team Officer. After serving as secretary this past year, I’m ready to take on a bigger role and bring more energy and creativity to the team. Being part of the Social Life Team has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience, and I’m committed to building on the work we’ve started.

Though I grew up in Cambridge, stepping on campus I felt out of place until I
joined the Social Life Team. It gave me a space to connect, and I’ve loved helping others find that same sense of community through brain breaks, club collaborations, and HUA-funded outings.

With new ideas for next year, I plan to help more students take full advantage of
the FUN Fund and collaborate with local vendors for enhanced brain breaks. I’d be honored to have your vote—let’s make next year unforgettable!

Dillon Dukes

Dillon's Platform

Hi! My name is Dillon Dukes. I am a first-year student from a small town called Swedesboro, New Jersey. Here at Harvard, I have experienced first hand the abundance of resources we have available as students and want to serve the student body to the best of my ability to ensure these resources are not taken for granted. Through my role as Co-Chair of the First Year team and Outreach Director of the Social Life team this year, I gained valuable insights on organizing new events, brainstorming new initiatives, and leading an HUA team to successfully get things done. And now, I am running to be your next Social Life Officer to continue and promote this trend of results. I plan to work with you all to deliver results that will uplift the student experience for you at Harvard College.

Zhaoxin (Jojo) Sun

Zhaoxin's Platform

Hi Harvard! Have you ever heard the phrase “last night was a movie” on this campus? Me neither. My name is Zhaoxin (Jojo) Sun, and I hope to change that as your Social Life Officer. Here’s how:
  • Increased collaboration with house committees to promote inter-house events. Think March Madness bracket but with inter-house water balloon wars.
  • Negotiate discounts for students so we can explore off campus. Sometimes the only thing keeping me from H-Mart is that $5 T-fare. Several Harvard Graduate schools have MBTA subsidies—why shouldn’t we?
  • Create a centralized HUA newsletter for students to pub events directly. Clubs host great events, and students want to go! The only problem: students don’t they’re happening. We can democratize communication about campus socials by making a newsletter that accepts student posts.
Thanks, and I hope you’ll vote Zhaoxin for Social Life Officer. Let’s pop that Harvard bubble together!

Co-Treasurer Candidates

Albert J.G. Sveen

Albert's Platform

Hello everyone, I’m Albert.

Applying for club funding is a nightmare: the deadlines and form links are obscure; the appeals process is nonexistent.  I will change all of that and make sure that we are making the most out of all the funding sources the HUA has.

I plan to make club funding forms take less than two minutes to complete, have clearly communicated deadlines, and have a transparent and fair appeals process to make sure that we are allocating funds to clubs that need it the most. Funding allocations will be made public and available for everyone to see.

To put it bluntly, I will squeeze Harvard for all it’s got, pushing for increased funding for student activities and organizations, making the best use of existing funding sources, and most importantly, putting you and your initiatives first.
I look forward to working with all of you!

Jeffrey Zhou

Jeffrey's Platform

Hey everyone! My name is Jeffrey Zhou, and I’m a rising sophomore in Mather House from Atlanta, GA studying Econ and Computer Science. This past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Secretary of Finance, working as the direct assistant to our amazing current Co-Treasurers, Sahil Sood and Tobi Elbs, on everything from grant applications and audits to planning fundraisers! Along the way, I’ve seen just how important it is to have a clear, fair, and easy-to-navigate funding process which really makes a difference for student orgs trying to bring their ideas to life. I’m excited to continue serving the Harvard community with a commitment to making more funding available for everyone trying to host fun events, grow their clubs, or just do something cool on campus. Thanks for reading! I’d love to have your support!

Rachel Fields

Rachel's Platform

Hello everyone! My name is Rachel Fields and I am running for HUA Treasurer!
As the treasurer for several clubs on campus, I am running on a platform of getting money into clubs’ hands quickly, fairly, and transparently. Right now, clubs must wait over a month to see a single cent from the HUA. And that is after getting requests denied or reduced with no explanation.

As HUA Treasurer, I want to change that. Having allocated over $100k as the Treasurer for Harvard Hillel and the Harvard College Democrats, in addition to advising the finances of several newly founded clubs, I have seen the impact of HUA money on getting students involved!

My platform is focused on getting HUA money into the hands of the clubs students love most so that students can find and build community on campus and beyond!

Daniel Zhao

Daniel's Platform

Hey Harvard! Want more MONEY, complete financial TRANSPARENCY, and an EASIER and FASTER way of getting funding? Vote Daniel Zhao for HUA Treasurer!

Having served as Fundraising Co-Director of the HUA finance team this year and the Treasurer of the Harvard Debate Team, I’ve been on both sides of the grant application process. So, I understand the problems we need to fix and the solutions to implement.

Here’s what I’ll make happen:

  1. REALLOCATE FUNDING. I’ll allocate even more of our budget towards clubs and student projects.
  2. LIVE BUDGETS. Instead of annual reports, there will be a live budget on our website so that we stay accountable at all times.
  3. SIMPLE APPLICATION. I’ll create a new streamlined application and cut the current finance guide from 32 pages to 3.

Adrian Yin

Adrian's Platform

Hi! My name is Adrian Yin from Milwaukee, WI concentrating in Applied Math:
Economics with a secondary in Statistics. I am running to be your HUA co-treasurer. Having served on the HUA finance team for the past 2 semesters and holding the position of Director of Review, I have become passionate about continuing to ensure that the HUA funding dispersal process to our wonderful student organizations on campus remains smooth and efficient. I have some changes in mind to improve the finance team in general including encouraging female participation/membership on the finance team and streamlining the training process to be more comprehensive and educational on reviewing grant supplements. Additionally, some HUA funding guidelines need to be cleared up and I’d work closely with executive officers and the other co-treasurer to ensure that clubs are never confused about what funding is permitted. Vote Adrian for HUA Co-Treasurer!

Well-Being Team Officer Candidate

Joshua Eneji

Joshua's Platform

Hey Harvard! I’m Joshua Eneji, a rising sophomore from Texas, running to be your Well-Being Team Officer! As Harvard students, we are reminded that we are future leaders. However, to step into that potential, there must be a campus culture that nurtures our well-being because we can’t pursue our interests and help others effectively if we’re not well supported in the first place.

As your Well-Being Officer, I’ll focus on meeting student needs while building proactive, holistic support systems. In my previous HUA role as Co-Director of Advocacy, whether collecting data surrounding student feedback or co-piloting the Winter Shuttle Program, I’ve developed a foundation in creating resources to try and make the Harvard experience smoother. I want to continue this work because we can’t pour into our various communities if we feel empty. Through increased collaboration, communication, and connectivity, I hope to earn your trust and prioritize your well-being!

If you have questions, please contact the HUA Election Commission at electioncommission@thehua.org.
