Hey everyone! I’m Ocean Ma, a sophomore from Vancouver and a member of the Women's Varsity Squash team at Harvard. I’ve grown up playing all kinds of sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, track, and gymnastics, and I’ve always loved how sports bring people together.

I’m running for Sports Team Officer because I care deeply about our athletic community and want to make it even more connected and fun. Whether you're on a varsity team, a club sport, or just love IMs, I want to make sure every athlete feels heard and supported.

I’ve spent the past year on the Residential Life team organizing events, and I’m excited to bring that same energy to HUA. Let’s build school spirit, create more opportunities for athletes, and have some fun doing it.

Vote Ocean Ma for Sports Team Officer. Let’s make Harvard a team.
Jack Smith, class of 2029

Jack Smith '29

Throughout my whole life, I’ve loved sports not just for the fun you can have while playing them, but for the community, teamwork, and shared experiences they create. Whether it’s being on the field, organizing a game, or cheering from the stands, sports have an incredible ability to bring people together and build lasting connections. I’ve seen firsthand how athletics can teach leadership, discipline, and perseverance. As Sports Officer, I want to help make sure everyone can experience that same sense of excitement and belonging. By making sports more inclusive, spirited, and accessible for all students we can create a thriving school community. Sports have done so much for me, and I want to share that opportunity and passion with everyone.

I’m Mark Guzelian (Mark G) and I’m a freshman living in Weld Hall and I’m super excited to be running for HUA Sports Officer for the remainder of this academic year!

Harvard students are busy, so my plan as sports officer is not to make every game “the big game” because people are just not going to be able to come. Instead, I will focus on a couple sporting events and make those few games a huge Harvard community event that drives school spirit to the max – just like Harvard vs. Brown, but not quite Harvard vs. Yale.

Although I haven’t played on a school sports team in a while, I coached my youth basketball team to a championship in my hometown and provided commentary for several sports in high school. I may just be a freshman, but I’m ready to get to work and bolster school spirit at Harvard!
