Active Minds @ Harvard/CAMHS, is a peer education group under the umbrella of Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) that acts as liaisons between Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Harvard College community. We work collaboratively with CAMHS, the Harvard administration, and student communities to promote awareness of issues and improve accessibility to resources related to mental health and wellness. In an effort to do so, we strive to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and engage in outreach to address the specific needs of various communities on campus.

We strive to encourage open conversation about matters of mental health and educate students about resources on campus. Ultimately, we hope to help the community to better understand issues of emotional well-being, recognize signs of students in distress, and feel comfortable navigating resources for support.

Mission
Advocating Success for Kids (ASK) is a primary care clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital designed for children with behavioral and learning disabilities. Our ASK club aligns with this clinic; members serve as advocates for patient families. Our mission is to support the ASK clinic and its patients through advocacy work.

Harvard undergraduates serve as Advocates. They not only have the opportunity to shadow physicians in the ASK Clinic, but also serve patient families as well. Advocates provides a great deal of support to families including access to social and educational resources and an alternative line of communication to the Clinic. Advocates fill a key gap in the healthcare services that families of the ASK Clinic receive.

Mission
The purpose of ASAP is to provide the network and resources for Pan-Asian and Pan-Asian-American students across multiple disciplines including theater, film, dance, music, comedy, writing, entertainment, media, and more to make art and create a community for these artists.

ASAP aims to celebrate the community, experience, culture, and history of Asian students at Harvard with events such as group discussions, movie screenings, workshops, open-mic nights, group outings, panels, and large- and small-scale performances and theatrical productions.

The membership benefits include being part of a community of Pan-Asian student artists on campus. We meet weekly for brunch on Saturdays, plan events and outings together, and ultimately serve as friends and supporters for members who want to create art together.

Let us act as a catalyst in bringing Black women and other gender marginalized students on Harvard University's campus together for academic, cultural, political, and social purposes. Let us find strength, support, and courage in our unity and combine our intellect, spirit, and resources so that we may best address the needs and problems of Black gender marginalized students at Harvard College and within the University as a whole. Let us be actively engaged in the larger discourse on gender marginalized issues, particularly those pertaining to Black gender marginalized people, on Harvard University's campus, nationwide, and worldwide and contribute our energies to these causes. Lastly, let us maintain an interest and commitment to the overall Black experience, both within and outside of the Harvard community.

The Association of Black Harvard Women will firmly commit to the works of anti-racism and gender inclusivity, while welcoming and celebrating the stories of all gender marginalized people. We will also uplift the voices of the Black queer community and engage in unwavering activism by condemning injustices on—and off—campus. Finally, we will advocate for the end of rape culture, sexual assault, and sexual harassment on and beyond campus, prioritizing the safety and well-being of survivors.

The Bengali Association of Students at Harvard (BASHA) is a cultural organization concerned with promoting the unique aspects of Bengali culture and fostering community among students with roots in Bangladesh, West Bengal, and the diaspora, as well as others with interest in the region’s rich history and traditions. Through our various social, cultural, and academic programming, we seek to provide members of the Harvard community with a home away from home, as that is what basha (বাসা) means.

The Black Arts Collective works to address the on-campus social and systemic issues of how Black artistic and creative expression is too commonly disregarded by general art communities and derailed by those made uncomfortable by its presence. We build affinity through artistry by hosting events and makerspaces that center healing and joy as a method of collective liberation.

Our makerspaces provide a safe space for Black students to create, regardless of skill level and experience, for various creative disciplines, including but not limited to dance, painting, writing, photography, film, music, multimedia, and performance art. Our events are fun activities for everyone in the community to participate in, regardless of any interest in the arts. These include things such as parties, speaker events, art festivals, concerts, and workshops. We plan to have an annual showcase/festival of local Black artists including spoken word poetry, short films, dance performances, and original plays.

The mission of the Brattle Street Chamber Players is to perform string orchestra and chamber music at a professional level while exploring and promoting a greater understanding of both traditional and contemporary repertoire that is largely inaccessible to more traditional Harvard orchestras. Without a music director or conductor, we are committed to upholding the ideals of musical democracy, with logistical and musical endeavors solely led by student members. Our goal is to create an inclusive and collaborative community where all members can grow as musicians and contribute to the vibrant musical community of Harvard and beyond.

CityStep is a team of Harvard undergraduates who all share a passion for the arts, community service, and youth empowerment. Harvard CityStep was the first branch of what is now a growing 501(c)3 not-for-profit. For going on 39 years, Harvard CityStep has strove to be a partner to the Cambridge Public Schools, offering a free arts education to students in the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. Throughout every CityStep year, our students (aka CitySteppers!) explore dance, theater, music, and more to develop both performance and personal skills! Traditionally, this culminates in an end-of-year show! CityStep is open to the entire Cambridge community, the end-of-year performance brings together all CitySteppers within our program to showcase the work our students do year-round: collaborative art making, thoughtful engagement of real-world themes, and individual expression!
