Details

The 2026 HUCEG Conference will explore the rapidly evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and the global energy system. As AI becomes increasingly embedded across industries, its growth is creating both new opportunities and new pressures for the energy transition. Expanding data centers, computing infrastructure, and electricity demand are raising important questions about grid capacity, emissions, energy security, and the pace of clean-energy deployment. At the same time, AI has the potential to transform how energy is generated, distributed, financed, and consumed. The conference will bring together students and leaders from academia, government, technology, investment, and the energy industry to examine both sides of this relationship: how the energy system can support the growth of AI, and how AI can help accelerate a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy future. Programming will be organized around four principal themes: the energy demands of artificial intelligence, investment and innovation in climate and energy technology, public-private coordination in the energy transition, and the broader resource and sustainability implications of technological growth.
Food Provided (A variety of snacks and refreshments (Bloom, Poppi, Undercover, KIND Bar), coupled with Dave's Sandwiches catered for lunch.)
