About Us
Active Minds @ Harvard/CAMHS, is a peer education group under the umbrella of Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) that acts as liaisons between Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Harvard College community. We work collaboratively with CAMHS, the Harvard administration, and student communities to promote awareness of issues and improve accessibility to resources related to mental health and wellness. In an effort to do so, we strive to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and engage in outreach to address the specific needs of various communities on campus. We strive to encourage open conversation about matters of mental health and educate students about resources on campus. Ultimately, we hope to help the community to better understand issues of emotional well-being, recognize signs of students in distress, and feel comfortable navigating resources for support.
